Message: My family's been purchasing from Somerville Lumber for as long as I can remember and I continue the tradition. They have the products, knowledge and service that can't be found at the big box stores are often just as competitive with pricing. I even found them to be cheaper than the others on a house full of special order interior doors I installed a while back and included free delivery.. I always rely on them for my larger projects or when I need advice and often make smaller purchases from their store when convenient.. Update:. I recently had a project that required over a dozen windows of various sizes. They made recommendations, I placed the special order and the windows were delivered about a week early all exactly as ordered. Unparalleled service!

Message: Went with Somerville Lumber to replace my old 5’ glass sliding door with a beautiful Anderson 6’ Series 400. Excellent experience! Price was reasonable (got several estimates). Sales people were profession, curious and knowledgeable. Since this was a big job (expanding the entry from 5’ to 6’) they work with a company called Cornerstone. They did an amazing job - on time, professional and nice. A beautiful job. Couldn’t be happier. This was my first experience with Somerville and I’d defiantly do it again.

Message: Denise at Somerville Lumber was very helpful and nice while planning my kitchen redesign. We opened up the kitchen and added some extra cabinets and counter-space. I would recommend her for your home projects and I will be back for my next renovation.

Message: We had a very good experience with Somerville Lumber. We resurfaced our 25 year old cedar deck using Wolf composite. We are handy but had never attempted a project like this before and were worried about over ordering (this decking is very expensive! ) We measured everything out and brought in our plans. Daniel our salesman figured out how much material we needed and assured us that we could return extra if we picked from their stock colors which were very nice. Re-doing the deck on summer weekends was a long and tedious process, but doable and saved us about $10, 000. We did have about $1000 in leftover material that Somerville Lumber very courteously took back even though the project took us about 3 months to complete. They even went out of their way and showed up at my door with railing caps they had left out of my order. Overall they were very helpful. Good place to go if you are a do-it-yourselfer!

Message: Last summer I purchased around $8k in decking materials from them. It was a custom order some materials had to be returned or additionally ordered. Beyond the initial order which was simple, they had real problems managing any sort of return or re-order. I had to order the same set of screws from them twice. I have received the run-around, but not the screws. I finally found another lumber yard in the area that is willing to make the custom order.
