Message: I would like to respond to a review from "Annette B". Annette first and foremost this review is a form of "defamation or libel" the incident described did not happen, and the acusations are false. Absecon Hardware does not have paint and has not sold paint in over two years. Are you sure you were in the store? Guests are asked ONCE if there is something that they can be helped with not repeatedly as you exaggerated in you story. The store that I manage has been in business for 25+ years and is not going anywhere. You hide behind a nameless, faceless username perhaps your time would be better spent writing fiction as it seems that may be your forte.

Message: The administration of Absecon Hardware and The Shed and Carport Center have been advised that our Google Account has been Hijacked and we cannot respond to the comments posted here directly with the complainants. Since these comments seem to be without merit and malicious in nature we are investigating and in trying to respond, show no record of any of these incidents in our database. In most cases it would be reasonable to assume that if a consumer has a legitimate complaint, they would first seek to resolve it with the business.. The Comment about disliking animals, the owners have two rescue dogs, and pets are welcomed in our store.. The Comment about the shed, no such individual ever purchased a shed from us. Each of our sheds come with a warranty from the builder and we are happy to facilitate a solution under warranty, should one arise.. The comment about not giving pricing over the phone on beach chairs, with the sheer number and variety of chairs we display and sell in season, it would be impossible to know from a person in a car which chair they were referring to.. As far as the comment about the store being a "front".. that's a serious accusation. The current owners have been here since 1990, are well established and known in the community and have many business accolades from as far up as the White House and the SBA.. The other offensive comment about the owners being racist.. once again is just name calling and without justification. We refuse even to dignify such a comment.. I would like to caution both of these writers; however, of the severity of the word "libel".. With that being said, we would like to thank our many satisfied customers, some of whom have been shopping our store for the past 25+ years. As they are undoubtedly aware, we encourage any customer who has a question or concern to stop in or call and we will do our best to satisfy them.
